We will be playing as a trader named Faye, as we look to build a small settlement and trade with the wanderers of the waste while defending from the Kenshi. Footwear includes any piece of equipment of any armour class that is meant to cover the feet in the footwear slot. The only races which can equip them are Shek and humans. However, if both legs have been severed from their body, the slot for footwear will become unavailable.

About the trader, I suspect he and guards were killed. The Mercenaries have went berserk once while I was in town. It was a challenge for the guard. The shopkeep and his guards went missing while I was away experiencing the irritation of the slaver town. I somehow got a -10 rep with slavers while I was there. No idea what I did. Note that you can buy both from the trader themselves, AND the shop counters. They have different inventories. Also, if the trader themself runs out of cash, you can click on the counter to open it's inventory, then talk to the trader again, and his cash will have reset. They are tied together in a strange way.
